This position is responsible for patrolling all areas of property and parking lots, securing doors, ensuring the safety of all guests, employees, and contract labor while on premises. Major responsibilities include securing property, locking and unlocking facility doors, conducting routine property walks, responding to emergency situations, interacting with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees, securing the safety of all individuals on the premises, appropriately dealing with unruly people, working independently and judging and assessing situations for immediate response, monitoring CCTV and Life Safety Systems, and all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications include a High School diploma or G.E.D. (some college preferred), 6 months to 1-year security experience preferably in a similar environment, and a valid driver's license. The role requires the ability to work with minimal supervision, strong customer service skills, good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, ability to work irregular hours including night shifts, weekends, and holidays, and professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic. Some computer knowledge is required. Physical demands include a large amount of walking, climbing, stooping, and possibly heavy lifting, with work in both indoor and outdoor settings and potential contact with hostile people.
