Join our team as a Medical Appeals & Denials Specialist at KidsCare Home Health

We are seeking a Denials & Appeals Specialist to join our central billing office team located in Dallas. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate claims processing, tackling denials, managing resubmissions, and driving successful collections for home health services across multiple payer sources. • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to accept feedback
• A passion for problem-solving and navigating complex issues
• Experience with medical billing denials, appeals, ERAs/EOBs
• Ability to meet and adhere to department and payer deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

• Navigate systems to file timely reconsiderations and appeals
• Communicate with payers to track and resolve balances, correct and reprocess claims, and appeal discrepancies
• Investigate and resolve claim denials, ensuring accurate corrections and timely resubmissions
• Review and resolve unpaid balances on assigned accounts
• Conduct eligibility checks across various insurance providers, ensuring timely holds/discharges and notifying relevant parties
• Collaborate across departments, maintain compliance, and deliver excellent customer service

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years of medical billing experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Medical Billing Systems
