About the Role

A collaborative, mid-sized architecture firm based in Richmond, VA, is seeking a creative and technically skilled Architect to join their growing team. Their portfolio spans a variety of sectors-including commercial, civic, education, multifamily, healthcare, data center/mission critical and adaptive reuse-offering a dynamic and rewarding design environment.

This role is ideal for a licensed or licensure-track architect who enjoys working across project types and contributing to all phases of design and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and documentation of projects from concept through construction.
• Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and clients to develop innovative, context-sensitive solutions.
• Produce high-quality drawings, renderings, and presentations using Revit and other design tools.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, zoning, and accessibility standards.
• Support construction administration, including site visits, RFIs, and submittal reviews.
• Contribute to internal design reviews, team meetings, and firm-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• 5-15+ years of professional experience in an architectural firm.
• Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong design sensibility and technical knowledge.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Licensure or active pursuit of licensure is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working on a variety of project types and scales.
• Familiarity with sustainable design practices and LEED documentation.
• Knowledge of Virginia building codes and permitting processes.
